When You’re Stuck in Overthinking

Ever had a mental ping-pong match with yourself?

You analyze every outcome, replay conversations like a Netflix binge, and stress over things that haven’t even happened yet. It’s like your brain is stuck buffering—except instead of a loading screen, it’s just anxiety.

Here’s the thing: overthinking doesn’t solve problems—it just creates new ones. In Matthew 6:34, Jesus literally said, "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." Translation? Chill, fam. God’s already in the future working it out.

When you get caught up in the “what ifs,” shift your focus to the “Who”—the One who holds your future. Instead of overanalyzing, pray. Instead of running scenarios in your head, run to scripture.

Overthinking may feel like control, but true peace comes from trusting the One who’s actually in control.

Scripture: You will keep in perfect peace
    all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you! — Isaiah 26:3 NLT

Extra Challenge: Next time you catch yourself spiraling in overthinking, pause. Take a deep breath, say a quick prayer, and replace the anxious thought with scripture. Watch what happens. 💡
