What If It’s Not That Deep?

I was stressing.

Like, really stressing.

Me and my husband have been doing everything right, trying to have our fourth baby. But for some reason—it just wasn’t happening.

And when you know you’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing (if you know, you know), and still—nothing?

It’s frustrating.

The Overthinking Spiral

I started overthinking.

  • Is something wrong with me?

  • Is this a sign?

  • Did I wait too long?

My mind was spiraling.

And instead of praying first, I was lowkey panicking.

Taking Action Instead of Worrying

But instead of sitting in the stress, I took action.

I made an appointment with my OBGYN, explained everything, and let her run:

✔️ A few simple tests
✔️ An ultrasound

And guess what?

Everything came back completely normal—except for one little thing.

A fibroid.

A tiny, non-serious, removable fibroid. Sitting right where a baby should be.

That was it.

My OBGYN scheduled a quick in-office procedure for two weeks from now, and then? We’re good to go.

That’s the whole problem.

Something that felt huge to me was actually no big deal at all.

Sometimes, We Stress for No Reason

How many times do we do this?

We:

  • Overthink every little thing

  • Overanalyze what could be wrong

  • Assume the worst before we even have answers

Only to find out later that it wasn’t even that deep.

We put ourselves through unnecessary stress when, in reality, God already has it handled.

The Storm That Wasn’t That Deep

This reminds me of the story in Matthew 8:23-27—when Jesus and His disciples were on a boat, and a huge storm hit.

The disciples were freaking out.

Like, full-on “We’re-about-to-die” panic mode.

Meanwhile, Jesus?

Sleeping.

Unbothered.

They woke Him up, shouting:

“Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” (Matthew 8:25)

And Jesus—probably still rubbing sleep out of His eyes—looked at them and said:

“Why are you afraid, you of little faith?”

Then, He simply rebuked the storm, and just like that...

The wind and waves obeyed.

The storm felt huge.
It looked terrifying.
But to Jesus?

It was nothing.

He had control over it the entire time.

What Are You Overthinking Right Now?

Sometimes, we work ourselves up over things that God has already taken care of.

We stress over the what-ifs when the reality is much simpler than we think.

So, let me ask you...

What’s that thing that’s keeping you up at night?

  • That situation you can’t figure out?

  • That worry sitting in the back of your mind?

  • That fear that won’t let you rest?

Maybe...

✔️ It’s not that deep.
✔️ God already has the solution lined up.
✔️ All you need to do is take action, pray, and trust that He’s got you.

I almost let fear steal my peace.

But instead, I took action—and God showed me that what felt like a mountain was really just a pebble.

So, here’s your reminder:

Breathe.
Take it to God.
Before you assume the worst, remember—sometimes, it’s really not that deep.
